And so, The Common Courtesy Project was launched!

May 29, 2018

The Common Courtesy Project: my faux advocacy group (faudvocacy?) dedicated to generating PSA's calling out the world for rude and obnoxious behavior -- the type that annoys all yet everyone is guilty.

The first PSA tackles an epidemic that has swept the world (and is very, very bad in my home: New York City):

Drift Walkers.

One second you're walking, the next, you're stuck behind someone who has no idea where they are, where they're going and that anyone else exists in life.

If you are a drift walker, or have been stuck behind one, this is a film for you. It will be officially released this summer after a short festival run.

The Drift Walkers production was an opportunity to learn green screen. The images below demonstrate the steps we took for the film's digital effects -- see if you can guess what happens...

I have to give a shout out to Andrew Kramer from video copilot - I applied the principles from his Advanced Car Hit tutorial when generating the Drift Walker digital effect.

Here's the link: http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/advanced_car_hit/

Also: Justin Andrew Davis came in at the last second to star and immortalize himself as a drift walk victim, saving the production (and did I mention he just rocked last month in Columbinus at Secret Theater?)

And always - Mack Mauro at No2Mauro Productions. What a team!
